Abstract

The intended audience for the report includes scientists, public sector decision makers (i.e., federal, state, and local governments), the private sector (chemical industry, transportation, and agriculture; and climate policy and healthrelated interest groups), the international community, and the general public. The Stratospheric Ozone Layer The stratospheric ozone layer acts as a protective shield that prevents most of the harmful UV radiation from the Sun from reaching the Earths surface.
