Abstract

Power electronics circuits are usually designed for specific application and ratings. Hence, every new ratings and application requires a redesign. Power electronic building block concept uses standard designed cells as building blocks. The papers determines design requirements for a basic AC-DC cell. The cell should have unity power factor and closed loop control of output voltage. Analysis and design of the cell is described. And comparison of different current controller is also done in this paper.
