Pityriasis lichenoides (PL) is an uncommon, acquired skin condition. It represents a unique group of inflammatory skin disorders that include pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA or Mucha-Habermann disease) and pityriasis lichenoides chronica (PLC). PLEVA and PLC are two ends of a disease spectrum. Topical corticosteroids, phototherapy and oral tetracycline or erythromycin are the most recommended treatments for pityriasis liichenoides chornica.
