Abstract

The diagnosis of esophageal atresia may be suspected on prenatal ultra-sonography in fetuses with absent or small stomach, upper esophageal dilatation and unexplained polyhydramnios. However, the diagnostic value of these findings is relatively poor. Two cases are reported where MRI appeared to be accurate for establishing the diagnosis of this congenital anomaly.
