In this paper we will show some of the difficulties raised by a theory of truth based on the structure of language as proposed by Tarski's orthodox interpretation and by Kripke's divergent version. We will present the basic elements on which the predicate true' depends, and then describe the elementary differences between the term proof' and the expression truth' by means of results attained by Godel in 1931. After this, we shall review the divergent proposal with the aim of investigating the conditions on which it depends and then finish this article presenting certain conclusions.
