Abstract

This book was prepared to help students involved in civil engineering. The 10 chapters provided introduce the subject of random vibration. Chapter 4 deals specifically with random excitation models for roads, and earthquakes, which centre on the power spectral density function. Chapter 9 extends the excitation response analysis from stationary to non-stationary cases, especially where earthquakes are involved. (R.I.H.)
