RDFa versus microformats: Exploring the potential for semantic interoperability of mash-up personal learning environments

Abstract

This paper addresses the possibilities for increasing semantic interoperability of mash-up learning environments through the use of automatically processed metadata associated with both learning resources and learning process. We analyze and compare potential of two competing technologies for this purpose: microformats and RDFa.
