Examined the relationships between J. L. Holland's (1985) personality types, as measured by the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory, and Jungian types, as measured by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. 394 college students were administered the 2 instruments, resulting in significant associations between certain types based on interests and preferences. It is suggested that the association between the 2 typologies could be a useful tool to motivate the client to carefully select careers based on interests, preference functions, and attitudes.
