Based on analyzing features of non-standard commodity shopping, this paper researched and developed an image retrieval engine which based on objective and subjective characteristics. The engine combines emotional elements of consumers with the tendency of commodity review, and accurately and rapidly retrieves the satisfied commodity in the mass commodities to the consumer by automatic identifying commodity images. The practice has proved that the engine has better performance and application value. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media.
