Abstract

Research carried out at the Research Station for Plant Pathology during 1990-91 is outlined under the headings and subheadings: plant-pathogen relations (pathogenesis of Botrytis cinerea, plant responses to bacterial infection, resistance of azalea against Phytophthora citricola); prevention and control (biological control of soil fungi by Trichoderma spp., prevention by the use of suppressive substrates, possibilities with use of implants for tree diseases, prevention and control of fungal diseases on pot plants in hydrocultures, prevention and control of Fusarium crown and root rot of tomatoes, prevention and control of fire blight Erwinia amylovora); and detection, diagnosis and identification (detection, diagnosis and identification of plant pathogenic bacteria, diagnosis of plant pathogenic fungi (diagnostic laboratory), detection of gangrene on seed potatoes). Publications from the Research Station during 1990-91 are listed.
