Abstract

Energetically speaking the solar particle events (SPE) and the geomagnetic storms are the most powerful geophysical disturbances which directly affect the polar middle atmosphere. This report deals with the data of meteorological balloon measurements made at different Arctic stations in 1988 when several SPE and geomagnetic storms occurred. The definite response of the polar middle atmosphere to the geophysical disturbances was found. -from Authors
