A sensitive assay method of acetyl CoA synthetase

Abstract

A simple radiochemical method is described for the assay of acetyl-CoA synthetase utilizing C14-labeled acetate. Enzyme activity is followed by the measurement of direct incorporation of C14-labeled acetate into acetyl CoA. Separation of the C14-labeled reactant from its reaction product is achieved by rapid chromatography of the reaction mixture on Gelman chromatography media. © 1970.
