Abstract

This paper describes the development of the service-oriented architecture (SOA)-based Remote Condition Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis System in the field of equipments remote monitoring and fault diagnosis. The architecture is based on Web Services, Smart Client, and Extensible Markup Language (XML) technologies etc. More specifically, the paper analyzes the structures and the requirements in equipments remote monitoring and fault diagnosis. Finally, the SOA-based Enterprise Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis System has been developed and realized with Visual Studio 2005, which has been applied to industrial field. It verifies the effectiveness and practicality of the system. © 2009 Springer-Verlag London Limited.
