Abstract

Taking into account the importance of the chemical industry for the Greek economy and the magnitude of pesticide contribution to the cost and productivity of agriculture, this paper estimates some negative effects of a pesticide ban policy, particularly for farmers. Research is mainly based on other European countries, as information on pesticides in Greece is limited.
