Abstract

1) coyote killed elk calf and then waited for other coyotes to join it to show them where it was 2) Extra adults around the den were grown offspring from previous years 3) Male coyote raised in captivity regurgitated food for an introduced pup (obviously not it's own) and then brought it food when it reached a certain size. Regurgitated food also for a swift fox pup, but for much longer, because size is the determining factor to stop regurgitating. 4) coyotes doing a service by culling the herd 5) carcasses are eaten and scattered very quickly, most won't be detected by humans
