Abstract

The current-induced spin-wave Doppler shift technique was used to measure the degree of spin-polarization of the electrical current in permalloy films of thickness 6-20nm. We find that the spin-polarization decreases as the film thickness decreases. This is interpreted within the two current model of spinpolarized transport.
