Stability of the steady-state size distribution in a model of cell growth and division

Abstract

The approach to steady-state size distribution is studied for a growing population of cells. The model incorporates cell growth at a linear rate and division into two equal daughters after a random time composed of an exponentially distributed phase and a constant deterministic phase. © 1985 Springer-Verlag.
