Abstract

Surgical site infections (SSI) are potentially avoidable infections that develop after a surgery or procedure. SSIs are associated with significant patient morbidity and mortality, and adversely affect patient satisfaction. SSI reduction bundles contain multiple interventions and have been shown to reduce the rate of SSI.
