A survey of the natural enemies of Parasaissetia nigra on rubber trees in Xishuangbanna [J]

Abstract

The main state-owned rubber and private rubber in Xishuangbanna and rubber seedlings in Xishuangbanna tropical flowers and plants garden were surveyed.The results indicated that there were about 31 species of natural enemies on Parasaissetia nigra,9 species of which were new records in Yunnan Province.These could be divided into 11 families,7 orders and 2 classes.The most abundant species were Chrysoperla carnea(Stephens),Aschersonia kawakamii Sawada and parasitic wasps,accounting for 26.43%,32.35% and 27.48% of the total natural and parasitic wasps were the best potential species that may be used to control P.nigra in the future.The survey laid the foundation for the biological control of P.nigra.
