Abstract

Argues for more real and in-depth understanding of the industry - theoretical and conceptual interpretations of human resource management issues - to be provided to students before operational and presumptive models. Suggests that students are currently uncritical perpetuators of the status quo rather than effective and thinking would-be managers ready to change things for the better. © 1998, MCB UP Limited
