Abstract
The article discusses technology manufacturer Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP). HP recycled 1 billion pounds of electronics and has set a goal of recycling 2 billion pounds by 2010. HP partnered with the World Wildlife Fund for the first international "Earth Hour" in March 2008 in hopes of having businesses and consumers turn off their lights for one hour. The author states that HP was the first personal computer manufacturer to receive a gold rating for an eco-friendly computer.
