Abstract

The paper presents some basic concepts of innovation in technologicalprocesses as they relate to the management and organizational structureof an enterprise, including some suggested new elements. These areillustrated by reference to a case study of the Capital Iron and SteelCorporation in China. A summary is also given of the aims and proposalsfor an on-going research project tor the World Bank involvingexplorations of the mechanisms of technology innovation.
