Abstract

A thermodynamic cycle is analyzed which utilizes the absorption process with energy recovery from the condenser to produce a refrigeration system with an improved coefficient of performance. Analytical results presented include calculations of coefficient-of-performance as a function of generator temperatures for both heating and cooling cycles with parametric results for different ratios of input solar thermal energy to input electrical energy.
