Abstract

This article describes a number of characteristics of contemporary international organizational consulting and training from the experiential perspective of American consultants. Key factors and themes in international organizational consulting are described. Lessons learned from 30 years of experience are elaborated. Emphasis is on the role of corporate culture in non-U.S. nations as it relates to multicultural/international awareness in training high-performing transcultural executives. Issues in assuring the continuing demand for consulting services by organizational consulting psychologists are also identified. © 2013 American Psychological Association.
