Abstract

This study was undertaken to supply some possible explanations concern ing effects of personality systems on the encoding and decoding process of individuals. A working model of the communication process was developed which corresponds to the ego states of transactional analysis. The model should be viewed as a pilot diagram representing a graphic presentation of the human psychological system as a variable in the communication trans action. © 1977, Sage Publications.
