Abstract

Over the last twenty years, as online education has been gaining momentum, it's become increasingly important for us to understand exactly how this evolving technology may influence education and learning. Students and instructors are now able to interact in real time with others from all over the world in a variety of ways, many of which mimic traditional education and face-to-face communication. This in turn will hopefully lead to more authentic interaction and learning experiences.
