Twitter, función e innovación social

Abstract

Twitter is a software application that belongs to the microblogging and social networks categories within which has been called Web 2.0 and Social Web. The exploration of the relationship between Twitter and user communities show collective behaviors and significant social functions that have been studied from the fields of communication, semiotics, social construction of information and knowledge and other collective phenomena. This work begins the approach to the analysis of these relationships from some traditional views that belongs to the philosophy of technology, such as systemic approach and technical object approach, considering Twitter as a particular case. The identification and characterization of key elements in the techno-social mechanism, shows some pendings problems for an entity that can be understood traditionally as a formal object, but has artifactual behavior.
