Abstract

The hexane extract of Nigella sativa seeds yields two new aliphatic compounds. The compounds have been characterized as 16-triecosen-7-ol 1 and 6-nonadecanone 2 using IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, EIMS and chemical evidences.
