Abstract

The data exchange between transmission line protective terminals provide additional options for autoreclosing procedure optimization and fault location accuracy and reliability improvement. The proposed fault location scheme simultaneously involves two algorithms: single-ended method based on measurements performed on one end of the power transmission line and method that in addition utilizes information obtained from the remote line end. The structure of hardware implementation is shown.
