Versioning technique for collaborative writing tools

Abstract

A new approach to modeling editing processes in collaborativewriting applications supported by a database system is proposed. Theapproach assumes extensive use of versions of document components ofdifferent sizes. The paper proposes an enriched database model,influenced by the models addressing CAD applications, which reflects thespecificity of collaborative writing processes
