Abstract
In this paper, we provide an overview over the PaaSage project's approach to helping the developer in exploiting cloud environments according to their specific needs and requirements. Classical software engineering methodologies no longer apply in multi-tenant, elastic environments, if the full capabilities for cost reduction and availability are to be exploited. PaaSage aims at offering software engineering extensions covering the full application lifecycle from deployment to execution. Copyright 2013 ACM.
