Abstract

An overview is given of the first simulations of vortons, which appear to strongly indicate their stability, and hence their cosmological relevance (as well as other physical contexts). Stable vortons may have profound consequences for cosmology. These objects can be very massive, and they could account for dark matter, or even dominate the universe.
