Abstract

Multimedia XML documents can be viewed as a tree, whose nodes correspond to XML elements, and where multimedia objects are referenced in attributes as external entities. This paper investigates the use of textual XML elements for retrieving multimedia objects. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
