Deputy Graduate Studies Manager (Student Support)
The School of Economics, Finance and Management is seeking to appoint a full-time Deputy Graduate Studies Manager (Student Support) to work within the Graduate Studies Office. This is a new post in a busy office which deals with a high number of students each year. Estimates suggest around 1000 taught postgraduate students will enrol in September 2017.
The role is primarily focused on providing detailed coordination and high level support to a range of staff and students. These areas include examinations, coursework, process development, plus internal and external liaison. Additionally, the role holder must be able to provide strong and supportive line management to a range of staff within the team.
The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality service in relation to postgraduate students to ensure the School maintains its commitment to the best possible student experience. The role holder will provide a high level of support to staff and students and effectively work together with academic and administrative colleagues around the University. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential as is the ability to demonstrate a high level of IT skills, particularly in Excel.
