The Sackler Library, one of the principal research libraries of the University of Oxford, is seeking to expand its team of staff following the introduction of Sunday opening.

You will undertake a range of duties at the reception desk (lodge) and the library desk, including security and invigilation, welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries and directing readers to appropriate resources or services, issuing books and collecting fines, helping users with the copying system, and other library support tasks. Regular duties will also include opening the library and re-shelving library stock. This role will involve manual handling duties including re-shelving library stock and packing and unpacking crates.

You will be reliable and flexible as regards duties, have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of library or other customer service work is desirable.

These are permanent part-time posts, working 6.5 hours per week (0.18 FTE), on Sundays.
