CONTRACT R&D ENGINEER SOUTH IRELAND HOURLY RATE DOE ONE YEAR CONTRACT Candidates with a medical device background, R+D and Mechanical Design experience are encouraged to apply for the role for more information about live vacancies we may have. A number of opportunities to work for a world leading Medical Device organisation based in Galway have arisen; the successful candidate must have a solid background in Medical Devices (Mechanical, Biomedical or Mechanical). The role is directly involved in working on the development of innovative products for use in medical procedures, as part of the product development team. Key Skills Proven R+D Engineering experience Ideally within either Biomedical or Medical Device although not essential. Degree qualified to Bachelor/Master's Degree level in Mechanical, Biomedical or related engineering discipline 3D CAD experience Mechanical design experience. Key Responsibilities Contribute to identifying and assessing opportunities for device, technology & process development. Leading projects from concept phase into commercialization phase and play a key role on the product / process / engineering / leadership fronts. Participate in applying an understanding of anatomy & physiology with engineering knowledge in materials and processes to come up with working designs. Liaise with and build relationships with team members, other staff and key technology and component suppliers, both locally and globally. Resolve technical challenges with existing designs and support portfolio sustaining activities. Please note: This role offered only on an on site basis, therefore no remote working can be offered and the successful candidate must be either local to Galway or relocate to the area if successful.
