Transferable experience is desirable, but not essential. You must possess a passion for your subject and interest in the success of the young people you teach to be successful in this role. Although planning and resources will be provided to support your delivery of English interventions; the school welcomes creativity and believes there is still room for variety. As you become more confident in the role you can begin to adapt planning and develop your own teaching style. You will be working with students throughout KS3 and KS4 and will need to able to work flexibly in order to build strong relationships with a variety of pupils. You will be devoted to raising young people's aspirations and eager to promote a love of your subject. The schools have a proven track record of working with and developing graduates, giving them the required skills and experience to become future teachers!
