Procurement Manager - Chemicals - Raw Materials - Supply - Fuels - Perm - Oxford - £45k-£55k + excellent company benefits

A global and market leading speciality chemical business based in Oxford are currently seeking for a Procurement Leader to join their global fuels team on a permanent basis. As Procurement Leader, you will take responsibility on the global fuels team and linking the external marketplace with internal business needs through development and execution of effective sourcing strategy. The Fuels category has a portfolio worth approx. $80m per year that includes lubricity components, cold flow raw materials, solvents and fumarates.

*Develop deep knowledge in the oleochemical feedstock and lubricity components including global marketplace awareness, technical drivers, internal needs and external capabilities.
*Work directly with the Global Procurement Director to develop appropriate sourcing strategies for the materials in the category ensuring alignment with the Fuels business team's requirements and the external marketplace.
*Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and maintain focus through various activities.
*Effectively negotiate contracts across all materials in the category.
*Ensure the benefit of supplier segmentations and the work with the few selected strategic suppliers is fully exploited with particular attention to technology collaboration.
*Ensure compliance to operational integrity procedures, business & financial control processes, training and assessment schedules internally.
*Represent Procurement in technical forums e.g. NPD teams ensuring supply security and cost effectiveness of purchased materials.

*Degree qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering or closely related field of study.
*Procurement or Sales professional with extensive previous experience commercial roles.
*Strong relationship building and team work skills.
*Ability to work in a complex and challenging environment consisting of multiple internal and external interfaces.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
