Our client, a large corporate who are embarking on an IT transformation journey are recruiting a Functional Analyst for Oracle ERP Systems on a 6 to 18 month contract to be situated in the Johannesburg area. Role Purpose and Objectives: To participate in the design, analysis and delivery of innovative technology solutions on new and existing systems for Oracle ERP Systems, in conjunction with internal technology stakeholders and 3rd party vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in fit gap workshops to identify country variances to the global operating model. - Point of escalation for any process related change request from deployment teams. - Responsible to review, challenge and escalate change for approval as required - Review local process variations to standard model in alignment with principles defined by the Business Process Owners. - Provide process expertise to project teams re process in scope - Interface with the IS to ensure systems landscape requirements are understood. - Support definition of standard scripts for SIT and UAT. - Develop detailed training materials for end 2 end process with business process owner's support. - Review and sign off process documentation and work instructions including country localisations. - Define change management framework and ensure it is implemented consistently. - Work with operating model and control teams to ensure early identification of country variances to standard processes. - Work with country teams to drive the implementation of pre-requisites and alignment to operating model. - Document and maintain functional and nonfunctional requirements - Participate in defining and recording the requirements to be met by the System and the methods to be used to ensure that each requirement has been addressed Essential skills and experience required for this role: Technical know-how: - Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills. - Display a strong understanding and/or experience of working in a professional services organization. - Understand the SDLC and ITIL processes. - Be able to manage relationships across the organization at multiple levels as well as with third party vendors. - Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral. - Possess strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. - Display a strong customer focus background with commercial awareness and strategic thinking ability. - Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills. - Strong ability to identify and resolve problems effectively. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Visio. - Possess a strong understanding of Retail applications i.e. SAP, Oracle, NCR etc. - Possess a strong understanding of Retail Point of Service implementations, Integrations and system processes. Professional Qualification Requirements: - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience in IT Technical Qualification Requirements: - ITIL, Certification in retail packages (SAP, Oracle, MS, Retek, Merchandising and Planning etc.) Experience: - 8 years or more relevant IT experience as indicated
