Duties and Responsibilities

UCL - CS is the top department in the UK for Computer Science. Research in the PPLV group spans theory and practice, including logic, semantics, language design, program analysis, program verification, systems verification, systems modelling, compilation, and theorem proving. PPLV has strong links to industry, in particular Facebook, Google, Amazon and ARM.

The post holder will investigate network protocols amenable for learning and verification. They will also evaluate the effectiveness of the techniques in industrial verification tasks.

The duration of the post is for 6 months in the first instance.

Key Requirements

We are looking for a research assistant with experience in one of the following areas: model-based testing and verification, formal methods, networking. Experience in multiple areas will be valued. Candidates should also have strong programming skills.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in implementation of large projects. Publication record in relevant conferences and journals, e.g. POPL, CAV, FM, will be valued.
