Duties and Responsibilities

UCL Medical School (UCLMS) is looking to appoint a clinical teaching fellow to support UCLMS in the delivery of high quality medical education; particularly in the provision of undergraduate teaching and assessment materials, for all six years of the MBBS programme.

The post holder will assist Year and Module Leads with the development of online learning materials and in the delivery of teaching summaries to students via our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) and other online teaching delivery platforms.

The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively to review, revise and maintain existing teaching materials in line with the UCL MBBS Curriculum Map , and to also develop new innovative online teaching methods. They will be instrumental in developing online teaching and learning guides for both students and faculty.

The post holder will take part in online teaching activities such as Clinical and Professional Practice and online tutoring and will be expected to contribute to the design and development of formative and summative assessments across the MBBS programme.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a Medical Degree and have GMC Full Registration and will have experience of teaching at undergraduate levels. The successful candidate will have a proven ability and commitment to teach in a clinical and non-clinical setting and will have the ability to work effectively within a team environment and the ability to work independently. Experience of, and commitment to, interprofessional working is essential.

Knowledge of different assessment methodologies used in medical education, knowledge and understanding of undergraduate curriculum design and development and knowledge of web design and use of the Virtual Learning Environment and online pedagogies is desirable.
