SUMMARY:



As part of the IT team, this position will help achieve business objectives by providing business analysis, requirements definition, subject matter expertise, project management, testing, and customer support of Companys product and pricing business applications. This position will work closely with business process owners and be the liaison between Companys Product team and IT, coordinating project activities across teams and ensuring that application systems meet technical and functional requirements.







This position requires a service-oriented mentality, a strong sense of ownership, an understanding of systems development processes, and effective communication with team members and customers.







DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:







BUSINESS ANALYSIS & REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION







* Collaborate with business process owners to define requirements and document processes.







* Provide the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy both business requirements and the user expectations.







* Identify opportunities for improvement to systems and processes.







* Perform gap-analysis against data, processes, and workflows.







* Ensure high level designs are accurately documented and mapped to approved requirements.







Project Management



* Frequently lead moderate sized projects, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, and resource requirements.







* Collaborate with a cross-departmental team to develop schedules for implementation and enhancement of application features.







* Develop project plans, facilitate meetings, resolve conflicts, communicate status, and oversee testing and user-acceptance.







* Manage vendor relationships.







Subject Matter Expertise



* Track system defects and manages through resolution.







* Identify features, technologies, advantages and disadvantages of various software applications.







* Help project teams convert functional specifications into system design.







* Exhibit a mastery of existing systems, business functions and proposed changes. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.







TESTING AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT







* Ensure the quality of systems delivered through testing, coordinating of testing, and reviewing test results.







* Reconcile test results with the business requirements.







* Identify gaps in performance of features against requirements and follow up with developers (in-house or external) to resolve issues.

KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND:







THIS POSITION REQUIRES:



* A Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, other relevant field, or demonstrated work experience equivalent.

* Minimum of 4 years experience as an Analyst, Project Manager, or Developer of information systems.

* Excellent communication and documentation skills.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.







PREFERRED CANDIDATES WOULD ALSO MEET ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:



* Experience implementing or using Product Information Management systems.

* Experience as the subject matter expert of an enterprise application.

* Experience developing master data, data governance, or data standardization strategies.

* Experience managing vendors and third-party resources.
