Position Summary

The LATAM Commercial Operations Lead will play a critical role in the success of the Alexion's LATAM business and the Commercial Operations organization. S/he will be a highly visible commercial leader with interface to Alexion LATAM Commercial leadership. S/he will develop and lead the people and processes that drive Commercial Insights, Business Informatics, Sales Excellence and Marketing Excellence in the LATAM Market. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring that consistent and high quality business operations support is provided to multiple stakeholders such as LATAM Business Unit and Marketing Leaders. This role will participate in strategy development and be responsible for implementation of LATAM Commercial Operations initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Management

+ Lead LATAM Commercial Operations team ensuring activities are aligned with Commercial objectives and are regionally/globally consistent

+ Provide robust Sales and Marketing Insights by developing thorough CRM and internal/external data sources as appropriate and providing access to this information via dashboards and Marketing tools.

+ Build vision, and provide direction, guidance and advice to continuously improve the services delivered by the Commercial Operations department.

+ Lead and provide direction to the LATAM Commercial Operations organization by recruiting, developing and motivating high performance personnel and teams.

+ Collaborate with the IT organization to ensure that the systems are in place to support both home office and field personnel.

+ Collaborate and partner with Senior Leaders in the LATAM Business Unit, Market Access and Diagnostics, Medical, Logistics, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, Compliance, and Finance to support achievement of their strategies, key objectives and business needs in a compliant way.

+ Provides support for the for ad hoc business opportunities for the sales force structure and marketing profitability model.

+ Manage budgets and relationships with key external partners

+ Provide operational support for marketing programs such as speaker programs and related marketing events.

+ Facilitate a culture of planning and project management, using consistent tools and approaches and ensure that work is tracked, prioritized and resourced effectively.

+ Maintain a compliant mindset to ensure all operational tasks are compliant and that appropriate analyses are performed to evaluate performance.

Essential Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in relevant field

+ 6 years' in pharmaceutical/biotech industry with commercial experience in market research, sales, sales leadership, marketing, and business operations, informatics and analytics

+ Proven leadership in training/coaching, leading teams, strong cross-functionally, working multicultural or international environment networking and influencing

+ Broad experience and demonstrated skills including LATAM market experience, project management, negotiation, advanced experience in statistical analysis, excellent oral and written communication and presentation

+ Proven experience with CRM, alignment and analytical applications

+ Experience with external data such as claims data, EMR and 3rd party practitioner data

Preferred Qualifications

+ Master's degree in Business or related field preferred

+ Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese
