- Proposes, initiates and implements electrical system field and design changes, and performance improvements.

- Participates in the review and creation of test procedures for new technologies, materials and equipment.

- May coordinate or play a primary role in a group's continuous improvement (CI) efforts: designing processes; establishing quality/quantity standards & metrics; collecting, refining, adapting & communicating 'best practices'; sharing knowledge and developing staff in a systematic fashion. Uses process design outcomes to solve problems.

- Initiates new ideas and approaches; challenges prevailing practices & approaches with reasonably sound alternatives.

**Qualifications**

*MINIMUM:**

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology & the knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through 5-plus years of job-relevant experience. May require initial and/or periodic drug or fitness-for-duty testing, and the ability to report to different locations; incumbents are responsible for their own transportation.

Utilize a variety of the competencies cited in this description depending upon the organization and role to which they are assigned. This description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by incumbents in this job.
