**Description:**

**This role is located in Duluth, GA at Boehringer Ingelheim's Animal Health Headquarters.**

Work with Business Partners, line management, and consultants on job evaluation, salary surveys, annual Compensation Planning cycle, and other compensation issues.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Responsible for job evaluations for select business areas based on Hay methodology. Working with HR Business Partners and line management to ensure level equity.

+ Conduct, submit and review salary surveys for areas of the organization, as required. Work with HR Business Partner and line management for certain functions within BIAHUS to ensure that job matching for salary surveys are correct and consistent within a functional area. Analyze salary survey data and share results with HR Business Partner. Consult HR Business Partner in all questions related to Compensation decisions.

+ Partner with the Compensation COE to manage the year-end salary planning and VPR planning process. Lead the planning process for Animal Health (BIAHUS), ensuring optimum levels of accuracy, and automation, support HR Business Partner and line management during the process.

+ Analyze compensation data (internal equity analysis and market analysis) and present analysis to HR Business Partner. Communicate applicable Compensation Philosophy and Compensation Guidelines to HR Business Partner and line management.

+ Work with HR Business Partners from all BIAHUS and other internal clients, on other important compensation projects and topics as assigned. These include system enhancements, FLSA issues, job profile documentation, severance calculations, and process harmonization across the OPUs, review of compensation guidelines and other compensation projects as required.

+ Manages the BIAHUS job roster and related profiles per the defined process to maintain current roster of jobs that is linked to both employee performance plans (MAG) and talent acquisition. Assists the business and Human Resources Business Partners with profile development and revision.

+ Support the international assignment process, maintaining a list of current assignees into and out of BIVI on an international basis (ex-pats/ in-pats), including assignment dates, immigration and visa status. Coordinate with the on-boarding specialist on I-9 updates for incoming assignees.

+ Participates on project team(s) within Human Resources as requested:

+ Actively participates and attends project meetings

+ Follows through on designated action items according to timelines established

+ Ensures timely completion of deliverables through active participation in team meetings

**Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.

+ Five (5) years' experience in human resources with a minimum of two (2) years of experience related to compensation required.

+ Requires an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and SAP.

+ Demonstrated solid HRIS ability required.

+ Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in difficult situations

+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate and plan within the responsibilities of the job

+ Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced changing environment

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of coworkers in a diverse community

+ Demonstrated ability to stand up in the face of challenge to defend, promote or offer another view.

+ Must be able to speak/understand/read/write English.

+ Individual must possess a strong business and/or financial background in order to understand financial implications of compensation decisions to the company.

+ Analyzes compensation data and demographics to ensure the business meets FLSA guidelines and the spirit of the BIAHUS AAP.

**Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:**

+ Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferred)

**Eligibility Requirements:**

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

+ Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

+ Must be 18 years of age or older
