TITLE: Clinical Psychologist REPORTING TO: Consultant Neonatologist ROLE SUMMARY: Perform formal neurodevelopmental assessment on all high risk neonates at 2 years corrected gestational age. HOURS OF WORK: 12 Hours per week Monday to Friday (excluding unpaid lunch breaks) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES. Develop clinical psychology services for neonatal high risk infants at the Rotunda Hospital. Perform formal neurodevelopmental assessments on all high risk babies including those born <1500gms and babies born with neonatal encephalopathy ~ 150 assessments per annum. Responsible for liaising with the Paediatric Outpatients Department to arrange follow up for any children who are not brought to assessments by their parents. Responsible for providing detailed reports of these assessments. Responsible for bringing to the attention of the attending neonatologist any child whose assessment falls outside the normal range. Responsible for maintaining an electronic database of assessment scores. Maintain and develop educational and professional developmental links with Clinical Psychology Children's University Hospital, Temple Street.
