We have been instructed to recruit for a leading biopharmaceutical company whose substantial investment in R&D has resulted in a strong pipeline of products at both early and late stage development. This senior level role will be leading and managing our client's Medical Affairs function for the UK and Ireland. Key role and responsibilities for the UK Medical Affairs Director: The incumbent will be working in cooperation with colleagues to develop and execute strategic plans for the business, and will ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes of practice relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Minimum requirements for the UK Medical Affairs Director:
• You will have extensive experience within Medical Affairs in a commercial environment.
• Medically qualified and GMC registered, ideally with some post-graduate qualification or specialisation, OR a GPhC registered Pharmacist with significant relevant experience in Medical Affairs.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries including work as a Final Medical Signatory in the UK.
