Risk team and help shape a robust, customer-focused, risk culture right across our business * you'll lead a team of specialists and have overall responsibility for the management, reporting and communication of conduct risk across Ulster Bank * you'll gain great exposure to all areas of our business and you'll be advising at an executive level on all conduct related regulatory issues * This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future of our business at an exciting time of change, and help us reach our goal to be the number one bank for customer service, trust and advocacy What you'll do you'll lead and advise on all conduct related regulatory issues across Ulster Bank. This will include providing advice on conduct risk issues to the Ulster Bank Ex-Co and board, and will also involve day to day oversight and challenge on business performance relating to conduct risk. you'll be providing challenge where necessary, and balancing a risk and business lens, so our bank continues to grow sustainably and in line with our core values and responsibilities. Your responsibilities will include: * Leading and developing a team of risk specialists, fostering a collaborative and high performing team culture * Using the Conduct Risk Management framework to provide an assessment of compliance standards for all business areas across Ulster Bank * Overseeing the delivery of timely and accurate compliance monitoring and business assessment programmes * Overseeing the provision of technical guidance, advice and support on conduct risk across the business and recommending risk based solutions * Overseeing, reviewing and reporting on key areas of exposure and identifying appropriate solutions * Leading mitigating strategies on conduct and regulatory issues in conjunction with Ulster Bank business heads The skills you'll need * you'll need leadership and senior managerial experience in financial services, and a deep understanding of conduct and regulatory risk. * you'll also need excellent stakeholder management and advisory skills, with the ability to influence and, where necessary, give challenge at executive levels. * Knowledge of the local regulatory environment in which Ulster Bank operates would be a significant advantage. We'll look to you to demonstrate: * Project and change management experience * The ability to lead and develop a high performing team * Knowledge of risk management measures, controls and related operational issues * Experience of making risk decisions within a control framework, which requires analysis, judgement and initiative, while thinking strategically about our future direction * A record of improving business performance and operational control and risk culture * Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships both internally, across RBS and with external regulators How we'll reward you In return, we offer a competitive salary plus a 31% individually tailorable cash and benefit funding programme.
