is currently seeking an experienced

CR(VI) Subject Matter Expert Geological and Hydrogeological SMEs Model Analysis/Visualization Engineer.

While working to achieve N3B LLCC objectives, will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety and security an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Review the status and remaining schedule for the on-going studies in the remediation and monitoring projects

+ Manage the completion of the on-going scientific studies ensuring they meet the DQOs

+ Develop and submit draft investigation/evaluation reports for review (DOE EM-LA and NMED)

+ Incorporate relevant scientific study results and data into final remedy corrective measures evaluation (CME)

+ Provide updates to the Hydrogeologic Data Repository, Comprehensive Well Inventory Database, and the SWEIS Yearbook as necessary

+ Contact the Waste Disposal personnel to deliver/remove containers for purge water and soil cuttings

+ Coordinate with the technical lead as required

+ Review subcontractor daily reports and support safety quality audits and findings to confirm subcontractor compliance

+ Responsible for maintaining the sampling and analysis plan

+ Maintenance of quality control through the sampling process once samples are received by the storm water laboratory

+ Assigning analytical processing requirements for samples retrieved

+ Complies with all health & safety policies and practices

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent; however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position's duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable

+ The career level of the position will be determined by the years of relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; after a candidate, has been chosen

+ Complete understanding of principles, concepts and techniques in the field of general engineering

+ Skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks and to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems

+ Ability to recommend approaches for new and improved processes

+ Ability to work with broad objectives, with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks

+ Ability to assist in business development or proposal efforts

+ Ability to lead certain aspects of a task or project

+ Ability to train and mentor more junior staff

+ Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job

+ Ability to work in a team oriented project environment

+ Familiarity with the LANL site and work environment preferred
