Our client, a large Pharmaceutical and Medical Device company based in Surrey, is looking for a Control & Automation Engineer to join their rapidly expanding site. The main duties of the role will include - - Identifying upgrades to equipment control systems and performing planned and reactive maintenance - Providing guidance to resolve and equipment and system failures and reporting performance issues - Leading continuous improvement activity in regards to installation and modification of equipment and systems - Leading factory acceptance tests, design reviews and vendor audits when required - Leading investigations into failures and using Root Cause Analysis to present feedback - Developing processes and procedures for the maintenance of control systems on site The ideal candidate will - - Have relevant industrial experience or hold an Engineering / Controls qualification - Have knowledge of health and safety regulations associated with control systems and automation - Have hands-on experience of programming automated control systems eg. PLCs, HMI, SCADA, Siemens - Knowledge and experience of working to electrical safety standards Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry is not essential for this role so we would consider candidates from a variety of backgrounds.
